The favor of God is a beautiful thing! It is written in the word that God seeks out those that love him and keep his commands so that he can bless, guide, and protect them. Psalms 5:12 says, “For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with a shield.” The Ten Commandments can be a great tool, making a positive impression on a child’s mind and heart. These commands encourage the love for God and mankind. As they journey through life, they will surely be surrounded by the favor of God!
Janet Edwards Stuart is a registered nurse that retired from twenty-six years of oncology nursing to be the nanny for her first grandbaby, Gracie. What a precious gift from God. It was during this time that Janet felt inspired to write a book and song about the Ten Commandments for children. Janet was also blessed with three of her own children that are all grown and on their own and the love of her life. Janet grew up in the small town of Teachey, North Carolina, where she remembers her neighbors and friends with memories of golden times.
